Partnership for Agentic AI

LHIND and Novagentica Bring AI Agents Safely into Production

Lufthansa Industry Solutions (LHIND) and Novagentica are combining their expertise to integrate AI agents into enterprise systems in a controlled manner. The partnership brings together a platform-independent software solution with integration, process, and operational expertise.

“Our customers are no longer asking whether AI agents work, but how they can deploy them responsibly in production,” says Rainer Liebhart (left), pictured here with Novagentica founder Martin Hofmann.

Norderstedt, November 6, 2026 – Lufthansa Industry Solutions (LHIND) and Swiss software company Novagentica are entering into a solutions and implementation partnership. Together, they aim to move AI agents from pilot projects into production. LHIND will integrate the Novagentica Architect™ software platform into its customers’ existing system landscapes and processes and can subsequently operate it as a managed service.

The partnership focuses on applications in which AI agents do more than process information and instead trigger business-critical actions. These may include purchase orders, credit notes, price changes, or container rebookings. Novagentica Architect™ enables enterprises to centrally engineer, deploy, operate, and govern agents independently of runtime and model. Execution can remain on platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Salesforce Agentforce, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex, LangGraph, or an in-house framework.

Consequential actions are subject to predefined rules. A certified “Decision Contract” specifies value limits, approval thresholds, escalation paths, and prohibited decisions. After execution, the result is independently verified against the data in the system of record. The resulting chain of evidence is designed, among other things, to support the documentation requirements of the EU AI Act.

“Our customers are no longer asking whether AI agents work, but how they can deploy them responsibly in production,” says Rainer Liebhart, Managing Director of LHIND. “Together with Novagentica, we help companies across multiple industries move successful AI pilots into production and embed Agentic AI into their value-creating activities for the long term.”

The partners will initially focus on three areas: agents with controlled write access to systems of record, a joint compliance-by-design offering aligned with the EU AI Act, and applications in industry and logistics. In an initial joint customer project, they are already implementing controlled write access by an agent to a system of record. The goal is to develop a standardized, scalable approach for aviation, logistics, mobility, manufacturing, and retail.

“An agent that orders, books, or assesses is not something you click together—it is something you engineer,” says Martin Hofmann, Founder of Novagentica. “A runtime can report what it sent, not what actually arrived in the system. That interface is precisely where our strength lies.”
