Lufthansa Industry Solutions and NEC Agree on Partnership for the Cruise Ship Industry

Norderstedt, March 7, 2023 – Lufthansa Industry Solutions (LHIND) and NEC Smart Cruise Solutions, a well-regarded provider of IT systems for the cruise ship industry as part of NEC Enterprise Solutions, now have agreed on a strategic partnership. Starting right now, this allows LHIND to offer the entire NEC Smart Cruise Solutions portfolio to its cruise ship customers.

Lufthansa Industry Solutions has many years of experience in the cruise ship industry and supports its customers on their journey to secure network and Internet solutions. The Maritime Solutions business sector develops new platforms and integrates network infrastructures for the cruise ship sector – from concept and implementation up to the optimization of existing IT infrastructures. The IT solution developed especially for cruise ships range from Converged Infrastructure to Location Based Services and up to the Cabin Control System. Using new technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT), simplifies the solutions by LHIND, including the boarding process and various other service processes for guests.
