The consulting and market research company Lünendonk & Hossenfelder has now published the new list of the top IT consulting and system integration companies in Germany. It ranks Lufthansa Industry Solutions among the 25 leading IT consulting firms in Germany. For 2020, Lünendonk expects the IT services market to develop much more slowly than in previous years.
Norderstedt, May 28, 2019 – Lufthansa Industry Solutions is one of the 25 leading IT consulting firms in Germany, as announced today by the consultancy and market research company Lünendonk & Hossenfelder. This is the sixth time that the IT service provider has been included in the prestigious Lünendonk list (in German) of “The leading IT consulting and system integration companies in Germany”. With a sales growth of more than 12 percent in comparison to the previous year, the Lufthansa subsidiary is well above the average sales growth of 7.8 percent for the IT services market for 2019.
The trade war of last year between the USA, the EU and China, resulting in an economic slowdown, affected the global economy. “One consequence of these developments was a decline in budgets for digitalization projects, and projects being stopped or pushed back, which had an impact on the growth dynamics of IT service providers,” says Mario Zillmann, partner at Lünendonk & Hossenfelder and expert for the IT services market, describing the market climate.
However, there were also a whole range of topics that boosted the business of IT service providers in Germany, including, for example, the S/4HANA transition, the development and launch of new software to implement digitalization strategies, the modernization of (obsolete) IT landscapes, the migration of IT applications and IT infrastructure onto the cloud, and the development and running of hybrid IT landscapes.
For the current year 2020, Lünendonk & Hossenfelder will not be publishing the forecasts of the IT service companies surveyed, most of which were made before the coronavirus crisis, as it is currently extremely difficult to make reliable statements about business development in the coming months. Analysts do assume, however, that the IT services market will develop much more slowly than in previous years.
The Lünendonk list of the top 25 IT consulting and system integration companies is based on the firms’ domestic sales figures. Lünendonk, which for years has been publishing the rankings of the leading IT service providers on the German market, includes companies that generate at least 60 percent of their earning through IT consulting, individual software development and system Integration.
