AI solutions for the financial sector

LHIND and Futurised announce partnership

Norderstedt/Hamburg, February 5, 2024 - Lufthansa Industry Solutions (LHIND) and Futurised have officially announced their partnership. The Norderstedt-based IT consulting company and the AI start-up from Hamburg are joining forces to sell AI solutions focusing on the financial and insurance sectors. Initially, the portfolio will primarily include ready-to-use "AI as a Service" solutions from LHIND, such as InfoExtractAI, which can read and process complex document types.

The two companies have already been working together for some time, jointly offering AI solutions from the Lufthansa subsidiary. With the now officially announced cooperation, both partners are pursuing the goal of using artificial intelligence to make processes at companies in the financial sector more efficient. The initially focused "AI as a Service" principle is intended to enable customers to implement artificial intelligence quickly and cost-effectively and to use it flexibly with a transparent cost structure. LHIND and Futurised are focusing on solutions such as generative AI, company-wide knowledge bases in combination with individualized smart assistants, document processing and automated e-mail replies. They support employees in their day-to-day work by analyzing content, identifying the information they need and presenting it in a bundled form.

Process automation using RPA is also seen as promising for customers in the financial segment. In both cases, the focus is on increasing the efficiency of existing processes, for example in customer situations. The implementation of the projects, from conception to support, is in the hands of LHIND, while Futurized contributes in-depth expertise in the financial sector. The aim is for small and medium-sized financial companies in particular to benefit from the advantages of AI technology.

"The collaboration gives us the opportunity to offer our AI products in sectors in which Futurised is extremely well connected."

Julian Staub, Business Manager AI & Data Analytics at LHIND, points out the major advantages of Futurised's financial expertise: "The collaboration gives us the opportunity to offer our AI products in sectors in which Futurised is extremely well connected." The partnership also enables LHIND to receive customer feedback directly from potential users. "This will enable us to understand the needs of the industry even better in future and develop further innovative solutions."

For Max Schlensag, Managing Director of Futurised, the partnership also comes at the right time: "The market for AI solutions in the German financial sector is large and relatively untapped so far. At the same time, the hype surrounding ChatGPT has clearly demonstrated the enormous potential of artificial intelligence and raised awareness among managers at all levels." Schlensag is certain that the Lufthansa subsidiary can be an interesting partner for banks and other financial service providers in corresponding AI projects: "In hardly any other area are trust and security as crucial as in the financial sector. Thanks to its roots in the aviation industry and the high safety regulations there, Lufthansa Industry Solutions has the highest standards in these key aspects."
