Norderstedt, March 12, 2019 – On May 1, 2019, Carsten Fleer will assume control of the newly founded SAP Business Unit at Lufthansa Industry Solutions. The 52-year-old IT business engineer comes from Lufthansa Technik, where he oversees the Base Maintenance & Central Solutions unit as Senior Director of Information Management.
Carsten Fleer served as an SAP Administrator at Rotring and an SAP Consultant at Capgemini before joining Lufthansa Industry Solutions in 1995. He built up the company’s SAP team and ERP/SAP Competence Center, led the MRO Business Unit for five years, and was Director of Controlling from 2006 to 2008. Fleer then went on to head up the Finance & HR Business Unit. In 2012, Lüneburg-born Fleer transferred to Lufthansa Technik.
The new SAP Business Unit will provide specialized consultancy and implementation services relating to the SAP Intelligent Enterprise Suite. In addition to SAP software products, such as S/4 HANA, C/4 HANA, Successfactors, ARIBA and CONCUR, the suite also includes new digital technology and business services of the SAP Cloud Platform. These technological topic areas will be assigned to four divisions within the new business unit.
