The blockchain revolution is embracing all lines of business. Even in online marketing and e-commerce, experts are putting their money on this key technology for the future. Dr. Lars Schwabe, Head of the Lufthansa Industry Solutions Data Insight Lab, is speaking on January 25, 2018 at the AI (Artificial Intelligence) Masters symposium about the new possibilities blockchain technology is opening up for machine learning in e-commerce and online Marketing.
Norderstedt, November 30, 2017 – Whether we consider cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or programmable smart contracts, blockchain is making Web transactions possible that promise to be 100 percent transparent and are also considered to be tamper-proof. In marketing and e-commerce, as well, this pioneering technology is opening up new ways of reliably managing information of all kinds. The hypothesis that data expert Lars Schwabe will be looking into at AI Masters is that blockchain technology – used properly – promotes artificial intelligence and machine learning, and will make future online marketing and e-commerce more transparent, secure, trustworthy, and compliant.
Lars Schwabe studied information processing in the brain with the aid of applied mathematical modeling in the U.S. and Switzerland. As junior professor for adaptive and regenerative software systems at the University of Rostock, one of this computer scientist’s interests was studying the brain-computer interfaces that control machines and avatars in virtual reality. After several years in the digital economy in online marketing, targeting, programmatic media buying, and similar sectors, he has now moved to Lufthansa Industry Solutions. Here Lars Schwabe is Associate Director of Smart Data Analytics and heads the company’s Data Lab.
AI Masters is the first symposium related to artificial intelligence in marketing and e-commerce. National and international AI experts will be sharing their experiences in technical lectures and discussions in Berlin from January 25 to 26, 2018.
