Restructuring of the Smart Data Analytics and Internet of Things Divisions at Lufthansa Industry Solutions

Norderstedt, November 15, 2016 – Lufthansa Industry Solutions has restructured its Technology Consulting Business Unit. Michael Koch, Dr. Holger Schlüter and Dr. Lars Schwabe are taking over the team management of the Smart Data Analytics und Internet of Things Divisions as associate directors on December 1, 2016.

Michael Koch, 32, will be the associate director of the Smart Data Analytics Division. Since January 2014, this computer scientist has been a consultant for the Technology Consulting Business Unit, focusing on Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Innovation. Before that, he worked as a consultant at the Adastra Group.

Dr. Holger Schlüter, 53, is taking over the position of associate director managing the team in the Internet of Things (IoT) Department. The doctorate electrical engineer has been working since February 2015 as a technology consultant in the business unit, where he is responsible for setting up the Industry 4.0 / IoT Division, among other things. Schlüter came from T-Systems International, where he worked as a business consultant.

Dr. Lars Schwabe, 42, will be the associate director of the Smart Data Analytics Division and the Data Insight Lab, the competence center for Smart Data Analytics at Lufthansa Industry Solutions. He has a Ph.D. in computer science and has been working in the company since January 2016 as a data scientist focusing on big data and machine learning. Schwabe came from emtriq GmbH, where he most recently headed the Data Science Department. Before this, he was a junior professor for adaptive and regenerative software systems at the University of Rostock.

The positions of Associate Directors for Smart Data Analytics and Internet of Things were recently established in order to be able to meet the needs of customers more precisely and to create more room for the Technology Consulting Business Unit to expand. Since its founding in 2013, the business unit has grown to more than fifty consultants. The new team managers report directly to Bernhard Kube, Vice President of Technology Consulting at Lufthansa Industry Solutions.
