Norderstedt, May 5, 2017 – About 50 companies in the port operation, transport and logistics industries from Hamburg and the surrounding region will be presenting their products and services together under the “Gateway Hamburg” umbrella at transport logistic 2017. transport logistic, the largest logistics trade fair in the world, will be held in Munich from May 9 to 12. Lufthansa Industry Solutions is one of the exhibitors at the joint hanseatic booth. A total of about 1,900 exhibitors from all over the world are expected to attend transport logistic which will be held at the Neue Messe München Fairgrounds.
At transport logistic, Lufthansa Industry Solutions will present its IT solutions for the transportation and logistics industry and will participate in the high-profile conference program as well. Rainer Liebhart, the logistics expert, will be one of the participants in the round table event called “Intelligent World – On Stage Show: How digitization will change transportation and logistics.” The moderated on-stage round table is a joint initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (Bundesministerium für Verkehr und digitale Infrastruktur – BMVI) and Germany’s digital association BITKOM e.V. in cooperation with www.intelligente-welt.de, an independent online platform.
The focus of Lufthansa Industry Solutions’ presentation at the booth is its logistics platform – based on Salesforce®. The “Gateway Hamburg” joint booth is located in Hall B3, booth 209/310. The IT service provider has developed its cloud-based platform for the digital supply chain as a modular solution that features the internal processes of a logistics company, covers its operational needs and makes the customer its focal point.
The system – based on Salesforce® – can be used for all modes of transportation and is adaptable to the specific needs of individual companies. It provides all relevant data beneficial for the continuous development of a business. Short development cycles as well as a decentralized administration support the initial implementation as well as the solution’s expansion across all migration levels.
Additionally, Lufthansa Industry Solutions will be demonstrating its entire logistics portfolio at transport logistic: from IT solutions for the smart supply chain, its expertise in the area of the Internet of Things and data analytics to predictive maintenance and sensorics in day-to-day business.
Transport logistic will be held in Munich from May 9 to 12, 2017. Frank Horch, Hamburg’s Minister for Economic Affairs, will officially open the Gateway Hamburg booth on May 9, 2017 at 2 p.m. The on-stage round table discussion will also take place on Tuesday, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Hall B2 (East), Forum III.
