This is why our Data Scientists from Lufthansa Industry Solutions dove deep into the most trending tweets within the cruise line industry and deduced the conclusions below.

Based on 1,928,470 tweets from cruise customer sentiments, the main results are:

  • Cruisers’ negative sentiments continuously decreased and reached its lowest value of 15.5% since the end of March 2020.
  • On average, the negative tweets on any specific cruise line increased by 269%.
  • Safety & preventive measures are viewed positively by the majority of cruisers, including air filtering, sanitizing, and social distancing.
