GoogleAnalytics

LHIND uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, These are text files that are saved on your computer and enable your website usage to be analyzed. Information on website usage generated through cookies is normally transmitted to and stored on a Google server.

We use the “Enable IP anonymization” feature on this website. Within Member States of the European Union and other contracting states of the Treaty on the European Economic Area, Google will truncate your IP address first. Only in special cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. On behalf of the website operator, Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity and provide the website operator other services associated with the use of the website and the Internet. Google will not combine the IP address sent by your browser as part of Google Analytics with any other data.

You may disable the use of cookies through appropriate settings in your browser; however, please note that if you do so, you may not be able to fully use all features on this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting and using the data generated through cookies related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

You can disable the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. This sets an opt-out cookie which prevents your data from being collected on future visits to this website: disable Google Analytics

We have concluded a contract for commissioned data-processing with Google (headquartered in Ireland) and we comply fully with the strict guidelines of the German data protection authorities in our use of Google Analytics.

Google Adwords

Our website uses Google conversion tracking. If you access our website through a Google ad, Google Adwords places a cookie on your computer. This conversion cookie is placed when a user clicks on a Google ad. These cookies become inoperative after 30 days and cannot be used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages on our website and the cookie is still operative, we and Google can recognize that the user clicked on an advertisement and was forwarded to this page. A cookie is sent only to the Google Adwords customer, in this case LHIND. The cookie is not sent to other customers. Thus cookies cannot be tracked through the websites of other Adwords customers. Information collected via conversion cookies is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who opt for conversion tracking. Customers can find out how many users clicked on their ad and were taken to a page containing a conversion tracking tag. Information that allows users to be personally identified is not provided, though.

You can disable Google Analytics for personalized advertising on the web or in Google Search, and customize the display of advertisements on the Google network by configuring display settings at: http://www.google.com/settings/ads

Information on how user data is handled in Google Analytics can be found in Google's data privacy statement at: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/

Piwik

LHIND uses Piwik, open source software for statistically evaluating visitor accesses. Piwik uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer to help analyze your website usage. Information about your use of our Internet offering generated via a cookie is stored on our server in Germany. You may disable cookies through appropriate settings in your browser; however, please note that if you do so, you may not be able to fully use all features on this website.

More information on this and how to configure cookies can be found under “Use of cookies”.

Facebook Pixel

LHIND uses components from the provider facebook.com. Facebook is a service of Facebook Inc.

Each time any of our websites containing a Facebook component is accessed, your browser downloads a corresponding representation of the Facebook component. This provides Facebook information about the specific page on our website that you just visited.

If you visit our page whilst you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook uses the information collected via the component to detect which specific page you are visiting and associates this information with your personal account on Facebook. If you click on the “Like” button or post a comment, this information is sent to Facebook and saved in your personal Facebook user account. In addition, Facebook is informed of the fact that you have visited our page. This is regardless of whether or not you click on the component.

If you wish to prevent this data about you and your behavior on our website from being sent and stored by Facebook, you must log out from Facebook before you visit our website. LHIND uses features from the LinkedIn network. The provider is LinkedIn Corporation.

Each time you visit any of our pages having a LinkedIn function embedded in it, a connection is made to LinkedIn servers. LinkedIn is informed that you have visited our website, and your IP address is also supplied. If you click the “Recommend” button on LinkedIn and are logged in to LinkedIn, LinkedIn can associate your visit to our website with your user account and attribute it to you. Please note that we, as the provider of these pages, have no knowledge of the contents of the data sent to or used by LinkedIn.
